Louisiana Caucus: McCain wins, Paul second, Romney third
Edited on Thu Jan-24-08 12:22 AM by JI7
Source: usa daily

It appears that John McCain won the Louisiana Caucus, Ron Paul placed second, and Mitt Romney came in third.

State party officials cautioned that the results were preliminary. In order for a voter to be eligible to participate in the Caucus they must have been registered with the state Republican Party by November 30 2007. Party official are still verifying provisional ballots for newly registered voters which may boost Paul’s numbers a little since most of the newly registered voters supported his candidacy.

Paul has yet to win a primary but his second place finish in the Nevada Caucus followed by his second place in yesterday’s Louisiana Caucus has boosted his campaign. The idea of a possible brokered convention has many in the GOP taking a second look at Paul.

Paul was endorsed by Pro-Life activist ‘Jane Roe’ of Roe V. Wade, and was endorsed by former two term New Mexico governor Gary Johnson this week. Paul also has funds to compete on Super Tuesday. He raised another 1.85 million on Monday’s Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday.

8. What about the HIllarytards?
Oooh, I'm going to make America stronger by invading and slaughtering Arabs, paying mega-billions for it, and inventing my phony opposition to the war on the even of the election! I'M FOR CHAAAAAAANGE!

4. Actually, the 'winners' were an uncommitted "Pro-Life, Pro-Family" slate.
They ran with "win one for the Gipper" as their rallying cry. So apparently Ronald Reagan won.

I don't know of any "Anti-Life, Anti-Family" Republicans running (at least not as their official platform), so I don't know what the point of caucusing for the "we'll vote for somebody!" platform is.

On another note, I got a Ron Paul mailer and a Ron Paul phone call on the night of the caucus. I hadn't even heard about it until then, so he's definitely throwing his money and grassroots support around in every contest.

5. Romney will probably drop once they verify the voters!!!
He has a habit of "bussing people in" to boost his ratings, falsely.

He has done that at straw polls.

As for Ron Paul, he's a fucking batshit crazy racist IDIOT. He's from TX, and that state is right next door.

9. Paul's against empire, which makes him better than HIllary
You choose, genius: the eager beaver who backed the slaughter of innocents in Iraq, or the man who advocates no longer mistreating foreign nations for fun and profit?

Um, I'll take Paul in a heartbeat in that contest.

10. I've known otherwise lucid people to make the same insane statement.
Perfectly nice people in all other ways. I wonder if there's a way to test for it. Ron Paul's Disease.

11. Look who's tossing around the "genius" term so dismissively
:eyes:

Someone who can't even comprehend the forum rules!

Paul is a RACIST REPUBLICAN. That's hard for you to understand? That kind of shit is "OK" with you?

ANY Democrat is an improvement over that.

Yet another one-issue Rocket Scientist who is easily conned by retro-style 'underground' and 'counterculture' bullshit!

You take Paul, then...take him out the door, follow him to 'victory' .... and don't let it hit ya!
