Florida Primary voters reporting problems at polls
Source: Orlando Sentinel

On Florida Primary day, voters are reporting problems across Central Florida from Daytona Beach to Hunter's Creek. Among the precincts experiencing glitches was one in Orange County where voters were told by poll workers early on there was no Democratic primary today.

Phil Marjason said poll workers at precinct 145 in Hunter's Creek would not give him a Democratic ballot.

"I thought it was plain wrong," he said. "We need to get Florida straightened out."

Orange County Election Supervisor Bill Cowles confirmed that the clerk at the precinct made a mistake.

"I have learned that we did have a situation right at 7 a.m. this morning," Cowles wrote via e-mail to the Sentinel. "The clerk admits she made a mistake."

But Orange County officials said their records show Marjason was given a Democratic ballot and it was cast. Marjason disagreed.

"You sign a piece of paper then you walk over to the next table and they hand you a ballot," he said. "It probably shows that I signed for it, but they didn't give me a Democratic ballot."

Sheneka McDonald spent 10 minutes trying to convince poll workers at the same precinct that she should have a Democratic ballot. She questioned poll workers when she was handed a Republican ballot but was told, "this is the only ballot we have."

"I said, 'How can this be the only ballot,'" McDonald recalled. "That's when the guy chimed in from the back and said the Democratic primary was in March."

3. Jesus Christ, they're getting bolder as they realize the end is upon them
like a great big fat bloated whale dropping from the sky onto a forlorn penguin, alone on an iceberg floating haphazardly in the cold, terrifying, wide open Pacific, dying of cancer and an distended, overactive bile gland.

4. There were Ron Paul signs clearly *within* the no-politics zone at my polling place
I pointed them out, but nobody bothered to take them down. Also, there were more workers for the registration table for the Repugs; we only had one worker, and so it was much slower to cast a D vote than an R.

8. RUSH LIMBAUGH ENCOUNTERS TOUCH-SCREEN VOTING FAILURE IN PALM BEACH, FL

RUSH LIMBAUGH ENCOUNTERS TOUCH-SCREEN VOTING FAILURE IN PALM BEACH, FL
Sequoia Voting Machine Freezes While Rightwing Radio Host Tries to Vote in Republican Primary in Sunshine State...

Count Rush Limbaugh among the voters confused by Palm Beach County’s touch-screen machines.

On his syndicated talk show this afternoon, Limbaugh said he was trying to vote in today’s primary when the screen seemed to freeze or “stick” on the list of presidential candidates.

“I hit ‘Next’ and it didn’t go there,” said Limbaugh, who lives in Palm Beach and often recounts the county’s electoral foibles on his show.

Then he hit the “Back” button and “got my candidate page again with the vote already recorded there. So I said ‘hmmmmm, I wonder if this is going to count twice.”

:hi: Thanks for the picture and a good laugh! I hate pigboy!

I voted this morning - no lines, although parking was scarce at city hall. It was a quiet time with only a couple of folks voting then. Nothing seemed unusual or out of the ordinary.

When I went to leave, instead of an "I Voted" sticker, they gave me one that said "My Vote Counted". I asked if they were sure.

22. And so it continues
Jeb and Katharine are gone but their legacy continues. Where is the Florida Dem party on this? What are they doing to get workers out to the polls to monitor this? They spent time and effort to move up the primary and get denied delegates at the national convention. They spent time and energy sniveling about that bad choice, but they are not spending time and energy on fixing problems it seems. Where is the FL Dem party, what are they doing to fix these problems?

23. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.......
Please keep this news quiet and under your hat and whatever you do, do not post this in GD. This is just the ammunition the right needs to bring about paper ballots instead of the Diebold machines. Under no circumstances should it be mentioned, at GD, that 'some people' say this is the work of the Clintons. It would be the worst thing yet if they realized this whole voting machine thing was a vast left wing conspiracy and that is how we plan on getting elected. Under no circumstances do we ever want to steer the right in that direction and get an email campaign started so that all the reps on the hill are left with no choice but to do paper ballots. I would be disappointed if the right's extreme hate of the Clintons led to election reform as Andy would have envisioned it. You know how they trust Rush and since this all (except the conspiracy) can be verified they surely would demand paper ballots for all.

Thank you for keeping this under wraps.
