Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois defeated Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York in the Vermont Democratic presidential primary, according to NBC News’ projections, but balloting for the two big prizes of the night, Texas and Ohio, were too close to call Tuesday night.

The Democratic contest in Rhode Island also was too close to call, NBC News projected.

Delegates to the Democratic National Convention are awarded proportionately, and those numbers will not be available until all returns are in. Going into Tuesday’s balloting in Rhode Island, Vermont, Ohio and Texas, Obama led Clinton by 1,194-1,037, according to NBC News’ count.

I was wondering who'd report something first. I haven't been paying much attention. Just relaxing til it shakes out and Hillary concedes tomorrow (hoping). McCain can stop campaigning for a while now, would be nice if Obama could do the same.

4. that's always fun!
and what makes me laugh, is that I truly believe there are so few Republicans anymore. This GE should be a total SHOO-IN for the DEMS, like in 1992 with another exciting candidate for the DEMS.

Obama should win over McCain, 54-44 in Nov., that's my first prediction, and I hope I'm right.

Can't wait to see your funny pics from the caucus.
