McCain vows to deal with severe US economic crisis
April 6, 2008 - 10:05AM

Republican presidential candidate John McCain said on Saturday he would not underestimate the severity of the ongoing US economic crisis and would keep open all options to deal with it.

"When Alan Greenspan says this is the worst crisis since World War II, we have a major challenge and we should never underestimate it, nor exhaust all the measures that we need to put into effect," McCain said, referring to the former Federal Reserve chairman.

The economy has become increasingly important in the US presidential campaign, surpassing the Iraq war as the top concern of voters heading into the November election.

Still, McCain said he was confident about America's economic future. "The fundamentals of our economy are strong," he insisted.

3. And his plan is to double down on boosh's failed policy.
He'd like to mortgage the future of our children and grandchildren by-
1) Doubling and extending voo doo economic tax cuts for the wealthy.
2) Squandering untold billions on Iraq and opening a new can of worms in Iran.
WTF is he thinking?

>Could he look creepier with his gin blossoms and yellowed teeth?<

5. You haven't paid your mortgage in three months, all your credit...
cards are maxed out and running 30% percent interest charges, a tow truck is taking away your car because you're behind on the payments and you owe six months of child support....

but the fundamentals are strong!

19. No, what he means is we have a challenge shutting Greenspan up.
Repubs like depressions, they just don't like people talking about depressions.

13. the Republican Platform is based on Milton Friedman's economic theory. the guy that did Argentina
Chile, Brazil.. that resulted in the torture death of 240,000 people

when asked why it didn't work he essentially said that they didn't starve and torture enough people to death.

it is all explained in Naomi Klein's "the Shock Doctrine:the rise if disaster capitalism".

this is the book of the century, it isn't a propaganda rag, it is a masterful research paper, 558 pager of which 92 are footnotes and index

MUST READ !!!!
