Pentagon e-voting plan 'flawed'
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/3419775.stm

The Pentagon has defended its internet voting system after a critical report recommended it should be scrapped. Four computer experts who reviewed the pilot project said the risks of online voting could not be eliminated.

"It has numerous other fundamental security problems that leave it vulnerable to a variety of well-known cyber attacks," said the report.

The Pentagon is standing by the system, which could be used in November's presidential elections.

In the US, some seven states are trying out the Secure Electronic Registration and Voting Experiment, (Serve), system. It is expected to be first tested at the beginning of February in South Carolina's primary election

2. I still don't understand
just what the Pentagon has to do with our voting system.

It would be like having the EPA launching the space shuttle.

Sounds rather ominous to me.

3. It's a military voting scheme...
...and internet voting is already being eyed up by a number of people according to the article.

We are told that people will be encouraged to vote by such gimmicks as electronic voting. However, it might help if there was more choice on the ballot paperin the first place if you ask me. :eyes:

4. I'm glad to see this
issue finally receiving some attention. Its obvious the regime is terrified that they will lose the military vote this year and have adopted this blatantly riggable method to save them. They appear to have NO plans to back off however, once again it demands leadership will one of our candidates step up to the plate?

6. Let me get this straight.....The same people who are under
investigation for taking advantage of a computer glitch for political gain are going to guide the pentagon about security problems in it's on-line voting system? Can anyone say voter fraud?
