Violence Marks Paraguay Elections

Asuncion, Apr 15 (Prensa Latina) Violent incidents have characterized the last days of campaign for general elections to be held on Sunday in Paraguay, several sources noted on Tuesday.

Leaders of the Movement towards Socialism party, which is part of opposition APC (Patriotic Alliance for Change) ratified that its members are subject to daily aggressions by pro-government groups.

On early Tuesday, supporters of the governing Colorado Party and PUNACE (the National Union of Ethical Citizens) clashed while sticking posters.

According to followers of Lino Oviedo, from PUNACE, the followers of the Colorado party got off some cars and fired their arms at them.
