Bush shows off his dance moves
Source: necn

(NECN: New Orleans) - President Bush showed off his dancing moves Monday at his fourth and final North American Leaders Summit appearance in New Orleans.

Opening a two-day summit with Mexican President Felipe Calderon and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Bush hailed the benefits of cross-border trade despite a rising protectionist sentiment in the US Congress. "I am a strong advocate for free trade. I believe it's in our nations' interest that we continue to have our free trade agreement. All of us want to make sure we're treated fairly. We can do that and this summit came at an opportune time," Bush said.

Earlier President George W. Bush and Mexican President Felipe Calderon reopened the Mexican consulate in New Orleans, six years after the Mexican government closed it to focus on areas with larger Hispanic populations. Bush said that the reopening of the embassy pointed to the close relationship between the US and Mexico.

4. I know some good ones in Bulgarian...
"May his mother give birth to an elephant that destroys his house."

"May his mother give birth to a hedgehog that he cannot embrace."

I knew a few others...

10. Yiddish has some great curses
May you live in a house with a hundred rooms an have a tootchache in each one.

May you be like a lamp: Hung by day, burned by night and snuffed out in the morning

May they name a baby after you

You get the idea

3. If I say I hate him it changes me so I say I have a minus 13 trillion respect
for him. I say I feel sorry for him making a pitiful fool of himself in front of the world while supposedly representing us - because he doesn't have a clue, only money coming in from doing what he's doing as a front man - covering for Cheney who is the real doer.

I really truly despise him. I almost consider him irrelevant but there's still too much damage he can do.

I'm glad he's doing all these things while those in the Ninth Ward are still trying to get insurance money and rebuild their homes.

22. Was it on Countdown (or Verdict, maybe)
that this was mentioned last night? It was evidently meant to be in New Orleans to prove how much "progress" has been made since Katrina.

Of course, the meeting is NOT in the Ninth Ward.

The man is absolutely a waste of flesh and blood that could be used for better purposes, ..such as for a vulture or a skunk.

18. Bush is dancing in New Orleans?
That's ironic.

"Earlier President George W. Bush and Mexican President Felipe Calderon reopened the Mexican consulate in New Orleans, six years after the Mexican government closed it to focus on areas with larger Hispanic populations. Bush said that the reopening of the embassy pointed to the close relationship between the US and Mexico.

This year's meeting has the intended twist of giving an economic and symbolic boost to the host city. Almost 32 months after Hurricane Katrina struck, New Orleans is recovering with uneven success from the most brutal natural disaster in U.S. history."

23. Lord Have Mercy On The Working Man
All around I hear the sound of money
But I ain't got a nickel to my name
And everywhere I look I see temptation
She stands on every corner and calls my name

Won't you tell me if you can
Cause life's so hard to understand
Why's the rich man busy dancing
While the poor man pays the band
Oh they're billing me for killing me
Lord have mercy on the working man

Uncle Sam's got his hands in my pockets
And he helps himself each time he needs a dime
Them politicians treat me like a mushroom
Cause they feed me bull and keep me in the blind

Won't you tell me if you can
Cause life's so hard to understand
Why's the rich man busy dancing
While the poor man pays the band
Oh they're billing me for killing me
Lord have mercy on the working man

Hey, St. Peter look down for a minute
And see this little man about to drown
There's quicksand all around and man I'm in it
Please help me up Lord cause I'm going down

Won't you tell me if you can
Cause life's so hard to understand
Why's the rich man busy dancing
While the poor man pays the band
Oh they're billing me for killing me
Lord have mercy on the working man

Won't you tell me if you can
Cause life's so hard to understand
Why's the fat man busy dancing
While the thin man pays the band
Oh they're billing me for killing me
Lord have mercy on the working man

Please, Lord have mercy on the working man
Please, Lord have mercy on the working man

~~Travis Tritt

28. So, why is it that when * gets stuck somewhere, he starts to soft-shoe?
What is UP with that?! Does he think he's being funny or clever? It looks like the actions of a person who is used to being scripted and doesn't think on his feet well. Remember Ashley Simpson when she got caught lip-synching on Saturday Night Live?
