Mannix refuses to endorse Erickson (OR-5)
Source: Politico

Kevin Mannix, who lost in the Republican primary in Oregon’s 5th District to businessman Mike Erickson, will not be endorsing his rival – a serious blow to the Republican party’s chances of holding the very winnable open seat, currently held by retiring Rep. Darlene Hooley (D-Ore.).

I will not support him because he’s a dishonest person and that’s my bottom line,” Mannix told the Politico. “I cannot support a dishonest campaign. I need to stick to my principles here, and he’ll have to deal with it. That doesn’t mean I’m endorsing or supporting the Democrat, but I’m not doing anything for him.”

2. Good or bad?
Given Mannix's reputation, this might actually help Ericson!

5. They used "Republican" and "principles" in the same story?
Too bad there isn't a "ROFLPH" (Rolling On the Floor Laughing to the Point of Hysteria) icon. So I guess this'll have to do...

6. Erickson really is a piece of shit.
I had to spend a lot of time in a campaign office working to keep him away from this seat during the '06 elections; we hate his ass here now.
