Paul Posse Threatens GOP Siege
Source: Washington Independent

While Minnesota law enforcement is focusing on anti-war and leftist demonstrations at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul next September, Minnesota Monitor reports that another group of political activists are threatening disruptions: the Ron Paul gang.

Supporters of the libertarian congressman want their man to get an invitation for a primetime speaking slot at the GOP conclave. Their appeals to Maria Cino, chief of convention arrangements, are not subtle. Said one:

"We will converge on Minnesota regardless of whether you invite Dr. Paul, but we would prefer to stay in hotels and attend the convention as members of the Republican Party rather than stay at the YMCA and protest outside as disaffected ex-Republicans. The choice is yours."

18. My experience is that they are rather obnoxious..like Lyndon Larouche people...

Has anyone else been subject to their presence much??? Maybe I just have an isolated view on this.

3. I've been boosting Paul and Barr to the idiots I work with
who tell me in one breath "I'm not a racist, but Obama is SCARY, so I'm not voting for him."

Personally, I hope all the Paul supporters converge on the Twin Cities and create a little chaos.

8. It appears to be working for me
the idiots start talking politics, looking at me to argue with them about Obama, but instead I say,"You know, I bet you'd really like Ron Paul, then...." and they actually LISTEN. I know they won't vote Dem, and I'm bound and determined to make sure they don't vote GOP either.

7. Our handful of Dem radio/TV people should be talking this up
FWIW, it's never going to happen. Repukes are zombies, and whichever way hate radio tells them to go, they'll go.

11. They've already started
The Paul campaign has been organizing for state and county conventions nationwide in an attempt to wrest delegates away from McCain. This has led to disruptions of state GOP conventions in Nevada, Maine, Hawaii, Idaho, and Georgia as well as district conventions in Minnesota.

10. There's a guy in my neighborhood who just recently
put a Ron Paul sign in his yard. I hope all the Paul die-hards either vote for Barr or write in Paul in Nov. Either way, it will cost McCain votes.

22. I've seen two cars now in my neck of the woods with
Ron Paul sticker and a confederate flag decal. There is a hillbilly compound down the road from me with a huge Ron Paul banner on the gate to their "spread." I'm thinking I don't have a lot in common with some of the more ardent Paul supporters.
