7. Now that's an original idea!
Call me culturally stunted, but I've never much cared for opera. However, THIS is one production I'd pay to see!

8. But can it compete with Bill O'Reilly's opera?
Kinda doubt it.

Do you mean to say you've already forgotten about Macrkis v. O'Reilly: The Opera?
Or, as I prefer to call it, "The Falafel Truth."

Probably others, too. Thanks for the reminder, Rufus -- amazing, and hilarious.

(On edit: Except for the poor woman involved, of course. Kudos to her for filing suit.)

12. The La Scala is the foremost opera in the world. For this opera
company to have commissioned this opera is the ultimate compliment to Al Gore. I say Viva la Italia!!!!!!!! This again shows the magnitude of Gore's global impact. By the way if you want to see the opera at the La Scala, order your seats now. It takes years to get a seat to the Milan Opera. Those who do NOT like opera may have never seen it; it is very like Les Mis and The Phantom of the Opera, just in another language. Much drama, great vocals, incredible sets, amazing costumes and the world's greatest music.
