White House backs Lieberman’s warning of attack
Source: The Hill

The White House on Monday said it agreed with Sen. Joe Lieberman’s (I-Conn.) warning that terrorists could test the new president with an attack next year.

... Asked about that statement, White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said Lieberman could be right.

“I think Sen. Lieberman, unfortunately, could be right,” Perino stated, noting that there continue to be extremists determined to attack the U.S.

1. LOL! So transparent. And yet, who knows what sort of trouble they'll drum up (or pray for) to win?

3. The WH desperately tries to reignite the PTSD in Americans.
Boo..BE Afraid. The sad things is that my own mother would believe that she was safer with McSame. My sister and brother in the Air Force believe it for *od sake. When will this people wake up. I think the coup may be farther along than we think if the Rethugs are going to be allowed to publicly threaten to attack the American people.

6. If it succeeds, Bush's anti-terrorism policy will have been a failure

And it will work against the Repugs.

And if that's the case, Congress needs to eliminate all the draconian measures in the Patriot Act and Bush's signing statements.

7. Then lay your cards on the table, assholes!
If there's a real verifiable threat to this country, then it's our leaders responsibility, nay, their patriotic duty to let the American people know. Of course, they have never given a damn about America. Why start now?

10. Joe Lieberman is a schill. He needs to go.
Transparent or not, Joe's continued undermining of the Dem party has GOT to stop. He needs to be politically neutralized.

14. I was somewhere today
and saw him (JL) talking on tv but couldn't hear what he was saying. I don't know if he spoke again today or it was from yesterday. He is such a loser and definitely no democrat. He is doing the bidding of trying to scare people.

15. Maybe. But I'd trust Obama's response more than I'd ever trust a Rethug's.

They're the ones that responded to 9/11 by leaving Afghanistan before the job was done and taking the war to a country that was never involved in the attack.
