He joins Joe Trippi in that role for CBS News.

4. The only CBS Newser I trust is Lara Logan.
I'm still pissed about what they did to Mary Mapes and Dan Rather.

Dan fucking Bartlett? I'd rather stick pins in my eyeballs.

11. Bartlett was key to the plot to bring Rather down
The White House knew hours in advance of the airing of 60 Minutes that the Bush National Guard documents were forgeries. Dan Bartlett was handling the whole matter and never let CBS know they had a bogus story. Instead, the White House let Rather swallow the hook so they could demolish their enemy Rather's career.

Bartlett knows all this now and should come clean to CBS. Unfortunately, the network is being sued by Rather and would probably prefer that Dan Bartlett kept the truth to himself.

14. As you probably remember, Bartlett was also the assclown that "scrubbed" Bush's TXNG records
Former National Guard officer says Bush aide scrubbed military records

By Linda L. Starr and Bev Conover

November 4, 2000—Here comes the other shoe to the denials and cries of "desperation" from the George W. Bush camp: A former officer in the Texas National Guard says an aide to George W. Bush scrubbed Bush’s military records to get rid of the disparities between those files and an account of Bush’s military service in his official biography.

Bill Burkett, a former lieutenant colonel in the Guard, said, "As the State Plans Officer for the Texas National Guard, I was on full-time duty at Camp Mabry when Dan Bartlett was cleansing the George W Bush file prior to G.W.'s presidential announcement. For most soldiers at Camp Mabry, this was a generally known event. The archives were closely scrutinized to make sure that the Bush autobiography plans and the record did not directly contradict each other. In essence it was the script of the autobiography which Dan Bartlett and his small team used to scrub a file to be released. This effort was further involved by General Daniel James and Chief of Staff William W. Goodwin at Camp Mabry."

What the hell is CBS thinking? Isn't it bad enough that Campbell Brown, that Republican shill and wife of Dan Senor, former Senior Advisor to CPA Envoy L. Paul Bremer III, is on NBC?

And the Republicans have the audacity to call the press "liberal"!?

IT'S THE REPUBLICAN PRESS, NOT THE "LIBERAL" PRESS.

15. it was Bartlett that scrubbed Bush's National Guard records
.....before the 2000 campaign. This is doubly disgusting, considering what CBS did to Dan Rather.
