that when my friend was on life support for a brain aneurysm there was a waiting period before she could be taken off, if I remember correctly. This is just so sad.

I was in a trauma unit about a year and a half ago, post surgery, and they took an accident vistim off LS not long after I woke up. It took a couple days before he finally passed.

She was taken on life support and it was erroneously reported as her death.

Nooo, say it ain't so! The words screw up and Plain Dealer are used in the same sentence so often, it oughta be on their logo.

Updated Representative Stephanie Tubbs Jones, a longtime member of Congress and most recently a stalwart supporter of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, is reportedly in critical condition at Huron Hospital in Cleveland. There were earlier reports that she had died, but a news conference in Cleveland just indicated from a family spokesman that she was in critical condition.

Her hometown paper, The Cleveland Plain Dealer, is reporting that her car was pulled over last night when she was found unconscious inside it. She may have suffered a brain aneurysm.

During the primary season, the congresswoman could often be found on the stage with Senator Clinton, as she touted the former presidential candidate’s platform and policies. We met up with her the night of the Ohio primary, when Senator Clinton won, and she proudly introduced her son, and gleefully celebrated the victory on the stage with Mrs. Clinton and Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland in Columbus.

She is seeking her sixth term in Congress. And she is a prominent member of the Congressional Black Caucus as well as a recent co-chairwoman of the Ethics Committee, which she helped to rebuild after a stormy period when the Foley page scandal rocked the House of Representatives.

That this is coming so close to the convention is what really stinks. But you know what you mention here gives me an idea on how to help bring together even more Democrats next week. Whatever Ms. Tubbs Jones fate is in the coming days, I think that one thing that Ms. Hillary Clinton that could do that would really show a lot of class and allow her and all Democrats to show their respect to Ms. Tubb Jones, and give Hillary more the kind of attention she wants than having her name in the vote on the convention floor is if she would stand up when they ask her votes to be counted and give all of her delegates to Ms. Tubbs Jones. People would forget about their animosities towards Clinton "having a vote", and recognize her strength of providing all of those votes in honor of a great congresswoman!

It's typical with today's so-called "media".

I hope that she pulls through this. Good thoughts for her, her family and friends, as this is the best that I can do.

I knew CNN had turned into a bunch of yellow-journalist morans, but this would really take the cake if they reported she died and yet she didn't.

I moved from Cleveland to South Dakota three years ago, so I'm especially interested in this.
