2. All this VP confusion the Repugs are making is great!
I really hope it's Romney. Biden would just DESTROY him in a debate.

6. But according to Mitt (during the primary) his boys were serving their country....
by helping him run for president.

To give the FReeps a little credit most of them were turned off by that display of arrogance.

9. A bungled imitation of the Dems
Trying to play the "mystery" the goddawful GOP can't help but using lies on top of secrecy and a shallow show where the Dems protrayed mastery AND consideration of a wealth of highly qualified prospects.

A shell game gone awry.

11. Do me a favor...
... and learn how to spell "Mormon", please.

Looks like there's going to be a lot of unfilled holes in McCain's résumé.

7. Romney--great! There goes the votes of a big chunk of conservative evangelicals
who believe in their hearts that no matter how nice of a family and values guy Romney may be as a Mormon that Mormonism is a cult, a perversion of Christianity, and therefore of the Devil. They believe they are answerable to God for their decisions and they will never help put who they believe is a cult member a heartbeat away from being the leader of this country. McCain needs every one of the evangelical votes he can get.

Also, I heard a talking head comment yesterday about how could McCain ever pick Romney since he evidently does not like him and they would have to work closely together if he were to be elected (which he won't).

16. which holes?
Not meaning to be anything but snarky and facetious, just which holes would those be? The magic underwear or transporting your pet on the roof of your car holes?I suppose you could make a semi-serious argument for economics, but IIRC the bulk of his personal wealth was inherited and he doesn't seem to have left the state of Massachusetts any better off. There aren't enough quality people on the republican side to fill the holes in McCain's candidacy, much less in one person for one position. They've just got to face reality that barring a coup-d' machine courtesy of Diebold, which I hope and don't think the American people would stand still for, even as lethargic and complacent as they seem to be this is just not their year. If anything I'd suspect that this pick which I see as a cynical attempt to pick up the disenchanted because of Hillary's loss women's vote may very well come to haunt the McCain campaign big time.
