Palin, McCain to spend more time together than apart: aide
Edited on Wed Sep-10-08 09:41 PM by RamboLiberal
Source: Breitbart.com

In a break with tradition, Republican presidential candidate John McCain and his running mate Sarah Palin could spend more time together on the campaign trail than apart, a senior campaign aide said Wednesday.

"It is under serious consideration that they will spend more time together than not and more time than is traditional," the aide told reporters aboard Palin's campaign plane during a refueling stop in Montana en route to Alaska. "There's just a huge amount of enthusiasm."

McCain's campaign has received a major bump in the polls since he announced on August 29 his surprise pick of Palin, a self-described "hockey mom" who won Alaska's gubernatorial race two years ago with a corruption-fighting campaign.

Palin has electrified the Republican Party's conservative base, which had previously been wary of McCain's more moderate views. She immediately won a loyal following of fans who turn out by the thousands chanting "Sa-rah! Sa-rah!" at rallies across the nation.

Initially, Palin was set to break off from McCain days after they were officially nominated at the Republican National Convention. Instead, she campaigned with the Arizona senator right up to the day she had to fly home to attend her son's deployment to Iraq.

5. Can you imagine how small the crowds will be for the ole' guy doin' it solo ?
Hmmm...Let's see. Pre-Palin crowds for JohnBoy somewhere around 1,500. Post-Palin crowds for the pair around 20,000. You don't think folks will notice that when they split up he'll be back to 1,500 and the other 18,500 are going with her. Just one more reason to keep her on a short leash.

will get all the crowds and the Media coverage and he will be chopped liver. If the Repugs could get away with it they would have her as POTUS. He better watch what he eats and keep one eye open when he sleeps.

Johnny might want to hire an independent group to check out the Oval Office and make sure there aren't any "special" lights or chemicals that could affect his melanoma if he wins.

13. What about her 4 month old baby?
But what about her baby? It's 4 months old. Who's raising her? A single parent (husband) and the children?

We're not talking about a toddler/infant/child here...a four month old.

25. Disgusting post, Raker13.
No one should ask about 'who's raising her son' unless you believe fathers can't raise their children.

My son has raised his daughter alone (with a lot of family help) since before she was 1 (she's 3 now.) Men are not helpless. Families pull together to help each other.

Are you saying the mommy-track, and the career-track are contradictory? That's awful, neanderthal thinking, IMO.

29. well, then, she should stop calling herself a "hockey mom"
a "hockey mom" implies that she actually takes an interest in her children's activities and attends their sporting events, recitals, school plays, and so on. It is obvious that she does none of those things. She is a total fake as a mother as well as a "career woman." Those children have obviously not been parented very well as both parents have used them as props while they pursued their pig-headed, arrogant, corrupted careers.

37. Again, a neanderthal post.
Someone can be a hockey mom and a career-oriented woman. There is no contradiction: you can be both - going to your kids' hockey games, and having a career.

33. Hey Wait Just a Durn Minute!
That baby is all the way up to five months, so I hear. ;)

I feel sorry for those kids, especially the special needs child. I have one myself (autistic son), and there is no substitute for Mom and Home. The therapists that work with these kids prefer to do it in the child's "least restrictive environment," which is home, with parents working and learning with the therapist.

What a concept. If the guy you elect doesn't seem to be doing so well for your party, just let him pick somebody to stand in. Lucky for us, nobody can truly fill Obama's shoes. He's a real man and he can run for president all by him little self. :bounce:

Edited on Thu Sep-11-08 08:09 AM by robcon
She's a media darling, and a "cause" for the right wing, and a lot of Repug politicians want to be "seen" with Palin in their districts. She'll outdraw McCain if they appear separately. McCain is afraid he'll look foolish in that case.

24. he's selling sex
pay not attention to issues, look at the pretty little thing on the stage

my partner came home from work yesterday and stomped around the house asking "how freaking stupid are people? I don't get it. a whole news cycle, probably more about stupid freaking lipstick????"

then she disappeared into the den and went on the tubes of the internets to use the google

about an hour later she emerges with a sheaf of papers - all about immigrating to Canada - she waves the papers at me and points to the TV, where coincedently a mccain commercial was running. She points to the tv and says - "if that freaking idiot gets into office, we're moving to canada. I don't care if we take a bath on the house, we're selling and getting the hell out of here"
