Fired official asked Palin about her car seat use with son Trig
Source: Boston Herald

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Todd Palin talked with more than a dozen state officials, many of them repeatedly, in his crusade to get a state trooper fired who he considered to be a bad cop, a dishonest person and a threat to the Palin family, according to his sworn statement given Wednesday to a legislative investigator.

The 25-page statement from Gov. Sarah Palin’s husband, in response to questions submitted by the investigator, shows that Todd Palin’s efforts started before his wife became governor and accelerated during the first 19 months of her administration.

He also suggested there was bad blood between the governor and former Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan over two other matters:

• An inquiry from Monegan to the governor about whether she once failed to put her infant son Trig in a car seat while she was driving.

• The unavailability of a state trooper airplane for the governor’s use when traveling to the Alaska’s rural areas.

8. Certainly what I thought
When her water broke, and she spent hours giving a speech, taking 2 plane flights, and driving 45 minutes to a country hospital (having been in 3 big cities that day that certainly could have offered her quality care). And she doesn't put him in a car seat either?

19. There's more to this than meets the eye-
Why would a child of privilege go into the Army as an enlisted man anyway? Ask a recruiter. If they are honest with you many times it's the army or prison.

11. If Palin gets out of a car in a miniskirt and no panties I will be cleaning vomit from the monitor.

Edited to add:

On the other hand, given how desperate they have become this is a distinct possibility - Joe Six-pack would love it, ya betcha!

6. and Todd bends the truth a bit as well
In his sworn answers he very carefully says "he" did things. Like compile a dossier on on Wooten and present it to Monegan. In the transcripts of the taped interviews of 2005, Todd states that "we" (being Todd and Sarah) hired the investigator, paid for the report, etc.

Todd did his best in his answers yesterday to imply that he worked alone and his wife was "tired of" his rants and didn't want to hear.

Those answers are in direct contrast to both his and Sarah's recorded answers back when things happened.

7. This has just been stalled...
So the campaign could dream up something like: Todd could get a story together where he takes the fall, and it is out of love for his family that he proceeded--on his own, mind you--to pursue this vendetta with the brother-in-law. But it was all his fault, his alone, just Todd.
