Montana GOP Chief Out After Failed Bid To Challenge Voters

Epic Fail for Montana GOP

Earlier this month, Montana Republicans decided to challenge thousands of voters in predominantly Democratic areas, based on discrepancies in their addresses.
The GOP hastily withdrew the challenge after it sparked an outcry.

But now, the party's executive director has resigned, just three weeks before the election.

1. I love what the judge wrote before
the GOP hacks withdrew the challenges: "The timing of these challenges is so transparent that it defies common sense to believe the purpose is anything but political chicanery." Amen, and it's about time judges started waking up to this shit.

As many commented after the article, Ohio needs to get busy and start putting a human face on those legitimate voters who are being challenged, which is what Montana Dems did. Among those challenged was an Army Reserve soldier about to be deployed and an elderly WWII veteran; this, apparently, is what tipped the scales of outrage, even among republicans. Ohio needs to start doing the same thing. As a former Ohioan, I know the kind of dirty anti-democratic tricks the goddamned OH GOP is capable of and has done. It's not enough that they've driven the state into the ground these past two decades, they're still determined to keep on doing so.

3. I can never figure out where..
the people fit in all of this. I would think that this close to the election people would be complaining big time. I wonder if they are?
