Meghan McCain: NH, I'll get tattoo for you

NASHUA – If Sen. John McCain wins the presidency in a little more than three weeks, his daughter said she'll tattoo "Live Free or Die" somewhere on her body.

Of course, he would have to win in New Hampshire, too, said Meghan McCain, who was in Nashua yesterday thanking volunteers at the McCain-Palin campaign office.

The tattoo, which would probably go on her wrist, would be her way of commemorating her father's run for the presidency, she said. It was in New Hampshire that McCain revived his faltering presidential bid during the presidential primary in January.

"New Hampshire is so important to me and my family," she said.

And she only re-registered as Republican this year, to vote for her father in the primary.

I feel sorry for her because it seems that family loyalty has roped her to something that her beliefs don't support.

Kerry wrote a letter countering the nasty Rove rumours and got it signed by every Senate Vietnam veteran in both parties. McCain used that letter in the next debate with Bush. Kerry also used his contacts with veterans' groups to get them to fight it as well. Meghan McCain was a teen in 2000 and the attacks by Bush had to be painful to her. (So, either hatred for Bush or respect for Kerry could have been her very personal reason.)

The only policies of her father's she publicly supports are stem cell research, global warming, and the war. Like I said, I think it's family loyalty.

in NH who were all planning on voting Obama. Now that they know the spoiled child of McCain will tattoo herself for their votes they'll immediately change their beliefs. Is she willing to take that idea to Michigan, Wisconsin, Maine, Pennsyvania, North Carolina and Florida? Can you imagine Cindy's horror if her daughter had a sleeve of state mottos? Her face would break off from all the fake delight she'd have to muster for McCain's victories.

I'm surprised they haven't all self-immolated; McCain's running mate has an ankle tattoo and permanent cosmetics, so by standards of Republican morality she's a heathen Jezebel.
