In South Florida, Obama pledges tax cut for 'Joe the Plumber'

Democrat Barack Obama's two-day sweep across Florida showed he can whip up overflow crowds, orchestrate a massive early-voting blitz and rattle off the state's grim economic statistics to drive home his indictment of the Republican Party.

The campaign's reach into nearly every corner of Florida also forced Republican John McCain to hightail it back to a state that once leaned heavily in his favor, with plans to campaign Thursday in Central Florida.

But as the third statewide poll in a week showed the race tightening in McCain's favor, Obama left Tuesday night with Florida still up for grabs.

''We're going to have to fight for every single one of these last 14 days,'' Obama told about 30,000 people who jammed Bicentennial Park in Miami on Tuesday evening. ``We can't let up, Florida, and we won't.''

happen without massive amounts of work.

Joe doesn't want to pay his taxes, nor his license fee to be a real plumber. In fact, he's accepting welfare payments from fellow rethugs to make the grade at this point.

My point is, without working your ASS off in this country while actually PAYING your taxes and the salaries and associated fees for your employees, you can hardly hope to exceed $250k taxable income anytime within a human lifetime.

SO face it, McFooler. Most of your constituents are as crazy as you are, believing in FAIRY TALES.

4. So much misinformation flying around
"nor his license fee to be a real plumber"

He's been working on that for a while, and is supposed to get it in a couple of months in time to take over the business. And what's this BS about "real plumber"? He is one. He just doesn't have a license, which is not required unless you own the business. Hey did you know most constructions workers don't have a contractor's license either? I guess they're not real construction workers.

I hope you realize that in attacking him this way you're probably attacking most of the plumbers in America. It's not a good tactic.

6. Thank you...
I felt the same way about this attack...

But I have my own doubts about his "undecided" status... In one of his last interviews he recollected how his family had been on welfare and in almost the same breath he got all moral about how people shouldn't take other people's money (ie tax breaks) to get by... I'm not sure he's the brightest bulb nor does he have a lot of integrity. This is from his interview on Hannity...

COLMES: But it wasn't about you, it was this idea that if you're making less than that, you're going to actually save money under Barack Obama's tax policies, you wouldn't be paying more.

WURZELBACHER: Well, you know, yes, I thought about that, and I was hoping you might ask something like that.

COLMES: Yes.

WURZELBACHER: To be honest with you. You know I don't think it's right to — you know, you know, there's principles involved. I don't want to make or have my taxes cut if it means somebody who worked hard or had a better break than I did, and take his money. I don't want his money.

Which is it Joe? Do you want to pay less taxes or do you want to be the hero who pays his fair share. Jeez... make up your mind.

7. I never bought the undecided bit
He's just a working-class Republican who thought he had a smart question for Obama. He's just not as smart and consistent as he thought he was.
