Poll: 1 Percent of French Prefer McCain
Source: Faux

It's hardly a secret that Barack Obama is Europe's favorite U.S. presidential candidate.

But a new poll shows that in France, just 1 percent of people think John McCain should win the White House. By contrast, 78 percent back Obama, while 5 percent don't want either to win.

According to Reuters, the poll found the five largest Europeans countries were unanimously behind Obama in the U.S. race.

In Germany, McCain's support isn't much stronger. Five percent of those polled supported the Republican nominee, compared with 72 percent for Obama. ...

5. It PROVES MY POINT...
...that the republican party is NOT a political party any more! If we had REAL democracy in the US, there would be a RICH DIVERSITY of candidates from several parties. But the republican party is SO out of whack with the planet IN EVERY WAY, that it can NOT be allowed to EVER use its influence to effect a political process EVER AGAIN.

BAN the republican party, and we will be in GOOD STEAD with the rest of the world, NO more war, NO more poverty, and a planetary saving anti-corporate philosophy.

BAN the republican party...NOW!!

14. No, it's probably 5% - the ones who want neither to win ;)
that figure seems about right, considering the people we have met or interacted with in our travels there.

18. Sadly the proportion of near-Nazi racists in France is a bit higher than 1%...
i.e. all who vote for LePen.

Still, most French people (including mainstream Conservatives) are well to the left of most American Republicans.

15. My French friends cant stop laughing at the Republic Party!
Every e-mail I get from them is just amazing. They cannot believe how STUPID the Republic Party has gotten. They cannot comprehend how anyone can take 19th Century Fox or Jesus TV seriously. I sent tapes of Bill-0 the Clown and Paul and Jan Crouch to one of my pals and he had a house party with his friends. They all died laughing, especially when Jan went into one of her mascara orgies. They couldn't believe that people are stupid enough to fall for this shit! As an added bonus, I included a bit of Hannaty too. I got to admit between Jesus and 19th Century Fox, the US has become the laughing stock of the world!

17. That's what you get right wingers
for dehumanizing the French for years. Coward, stinky, lazy. Those slurs didn't fall on deaf ears.

What did you expect ?

20. I have a friend who lives in Spain
and people ask him about the Republican policies. He tries to explain the best he can, but they keep saying "But that doesn't make any sense." Every time he tries to explain the explanation, they say "But that doesn't make any sense."

He agrees with them, but they are totally mystified as to why anyone would vote for them.

Of course, living for such a long time under a fascist dictator does make you kind of leery of them.

26. Here in Germany we have conservative friends
and they say the same thing!! They want more flexibility for businesses and tighter reigns on unemployment which has happened under Merkel - but they think we are NUTS for our health care.
