Palin "annoyed" with CBS interviewer (CNN)
Source: CNN

FORT WAYNE, Indiana (CNN) – Campaigning Saturday in Fort Wayne, Indiana, a city once represented in Congress by another vice presidential candidate named Dan Quayle, Sarah Palin delivered one of her longest stump speeches to date and revealed that she was “annoyed” with the line of questioning presented by Katie Couric in her now-infamous interview with CBS.

Palin reprised a story she last told a week ago in Noblesville, Indiana about her sit-down with Couric, which was widely panned.

“Last time I was here I got to tell a crowd that I had to give a national interview that didn’t go so well,” she said. “And it was because I was kind of annoyed with the questions that I was being asked because I thought they were kind of irrelevant to, you know, national security issues and getting our economy back on track, so I kind of showed some of that annoyance.” ...

1. What piece of crap she is. She has not had an interview that treated her half as
shabbily and with such disrespect as that twit Barbara West behaved toward Joe Biden.
She has no idea how easy she has it...so ignorant and yet so arrogant.

39. Yes, and note how the CNN headline conveniently omits Couric's name...
so as not to make Queen Sarah seem unbelievably petty or obsessed, or anything.

Get over it, lady. It's been a month, for crying out loud.

3. How's this for annoying? So, Gov. Palin, you propose Socialism for all Autistic & Downs Syndrome, wh
at other Special Needs categories will be included? And, if there will be new programs or funds to support Special Needs, how about people with Pre-existing Conditions who actually can pay for insurance, but can't obtain it?

5. Hey, Sarah, what Couric did was try to gauge how much knowledge you had of basic
domestic government and foreign issues.

If you don't even have a grasp of that, how the hell can you properly help in the running of the country.

The US is a thousand times more diverse, complex, and demanding than Alaska.

8. still trying to spin that disaster, eh Failin?
Too bad for you, that you were so stupid as to not realize how brilliantly revealing Couric's interview was, and to miss your opportunity to display your "good" side. Your narcissism, greed, and blatant ambition without the smarts or work to back it up, were all nicely highlighted for all the world to see.

We already knew you didn't know anything about the economy, national security or foreign policy. Although Couric gave you ample opportunity to confirm your ignorance there, too.

25. I was annoyed she couldn't pull something out of her ass, even if she doesn't read
Hey Sarah, next time someone asks you that question, here's an answer for you so you don't look like a total moron:

"Well, Katie, as governor of Alaska, I need to be informed about what's going on in my state. I start out every morning with the Anchorage Daily News, the Juneau Empire, and the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner while I'm eating breakfast at the Governor's mansion. I also have a variety of local papers from around the state delivered to the Governor's office, and I usually have a staffer look through those for items of local interest. I'm usually too busy to do much more than look at the "nation" sections of a variety of other papers such as the Washington Post and the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, but while traveling around the nation, I really have tried to get to know the local people where they live, so I usually have been reading the local paper for a few days before I travel there. Finally, after returning home for the evening, I often watch CNN or another news station for all the latest."

You're welcome, Sarah. :eyes:

(Even if it's all BS, you should be able to pull that out.)

Oh, wait a minute! I almost overlooked the fact that with 9 days until election day, Palin has yet to hold a single press conference. All for the better, since we wouldn't want a candidate who aspires to be a heartbeat away from the president to subject herself to those annoying (and even worse) unanticipated questions from the media.

29. Couric asked what would have been softball questions for any credible candidate
What type of newspapers do you read?

What is a Supreme Court decision that you disagreed with?

For any candidate who had even a small knowledge of what was going on in the world these would have been really easy questions to answer. I doubt that Couric actually expected that Palin would get hung up on these questions, she probably thought these would be easy questions but nonetheless questions that would help us to get to know the candidate better. For Palin to complain about softball questions says a great deal about Palin, and she was embarrassed not by Couric but by her own lack of knowledge and interest in the world.

She is annoyed because she was asked questions she didn't know how to answer? Give me a freaking break. If she wants to play in the big leagues then Sarah Palin needs to quit whining, put on her big-girl Saks panties and deal with it.

42. Gotta say, I thought Katie did pretty well.
If she had asked the questions we wanted the interview would have been dismissed as partisan. As it was it's covered a lot of ground.

Couric almost sounded like Russert in his better moments, when he smelled evasion and went in for the kill.
