Montana judge: man has right to assisted suicide
Source: Associated Press

HELENA, Mont. – A Montana judge has issued a ruling saying residents of the state have the right to doctor-assisted suicide.

The ruling issued late Friday by state District Court Judge Dorothy McCarter makes Montana the third state in which doctor-assisted suicide is legal.

A few things about it worry me though. Chief among them my worry that in the future it could become legal for depressed young people to do the same.

I might make that choice if I had a fatal illness... but chances are I'd do it myself in an unassisted manner (if I was capable of doing so). Still I'm glad that some will have that option available to them. Damn tough choice to make.

10. Is Montana not very religious?
I don't know their historical makeup and was wondering if Montana doesn't have very many fundies? I know it is a very rural state.
