Kerry blasts ‘dangerous’ rollback of species act

Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) on Friday strongly criticized the Bush administration’s revisions to the Endangered Species Act, indicating that they were un-American.

“The election of Barack Obama and this week’s climate change conference made it clear to the world that on the environment and climate change, America is going to act like America again. It seems the Bush administration didn’t get the memo,” said Kerry, who is attending a United Nations climate change conference in Poland this week.

The administration on Thursday changed rules related to the Endangered Species Act, such as reducing the input of federal scientists in determining the impact of federal projects on wildlife and preventing the law from being used in evaluating whether a project would contribute to global climate change.

“These eleventh-hour, last-minute changes roll back essential protections for endangered wildlife and weaken our hand in the struggle against global climate change,” Kerry said.

Will this nightmare starring the extremely incompetent Bush and his extremely incompetent band of nutcakes ever end?

They have been extremely competent about demolishing the safety net, environmental protections, labor, international law and international relations...

Their ideology puts nationalism and profits ahead of everything else; it's a looter psychology, which makes no provision for the future, only for immediate gain. The largely unspoken theme behind it all is their Dominionist end-of-days outlook which tells them there IS no future. They don't need to provide for posterity because there will be no posterity.

They are, frankly, a death cult.

That is it at it's root. They want something other than what our forefathers intended. They intended a detrayal of American principles. Call it straight. And in the Auto bailout as well. They intend harm to the american dream. Unless you are the idle rich. Get with the program or get the FUCK outta the way. And yes, I will slap anyone in the way. Let's roll.
