Exclusive: Norm Coleman's Renovation Project Coincides with Financial Lawsuit
Last Edited: Thursday, 11 Dec 2008, 9:31 PM CST

ST. PAUL (FOX 9) -- The timing and cost of Sen. Norm Coleman's home renovation has again raised questions about allegations that an Edina, Minn. businessman funneled money to Norm Coleman's wife Laurie.

The FBI is now reportedly investigating the allegations that Nasser Kazeminy tried to funnel $75,000 in campaign contributions through the Senator's wife. By why would a U.S. Senator, who makes about $180,000 a year, need the money?

Norm Coleman's home in St. Paul's Crocus Hill neighborhood is not lavish -- but it's a lot nicer than it used to be, thanks in part to contractor Jim Taylors, who helped remodel the home two years ago.

"Put in a second floor master bedroom/bathroom, the bedroom was there, we just added a bathroom and closet and a kitchen remodel, actually turned into half the house remodel by the time we painted and refinished floors and did some landscape work," says Taylors.

The remodeled kitchen was the backdrop for some of the Senator's campaign commercials. FOX 9 learned the woman in charge of the project was Shari Wilsey, an interior designer. Wilsey, along with her husband Roger, are longtime friends of the Coleman's and financial contributors to the Senator's campaigns.

But ABC has the new Homeland Security kiss up show. (Can't wait to see the ratings.)

I think this is a job for Dateline, home of child molester stings.

5. Maybe Norm and Ted
Can get renovations done on the jails. Perhaps an extra toilet, maybe some nice linen, box windows so they can have plants.

7. That's it..... Obama is now in real trouble.
He actually spent time with Colman on the floor of the Senate you know.

They should investigate Obama and see what he knew about this and when he knew it.

8. exactly
that's exactly right

I want to know why Obama is hiding so much. He never talks to the press. He must know something. He's shaken Coleman's hand.
He's hiding something, you know.

And Bush, why...why even bother to ask him a question? He's working so hard for the downtrodden, you know.
Pure as fresh snow. Tearing up the constitution is excusable you know, when you are taking money...cough cough...
I mean helping the 'Merican people.

11. Fox News would never run a story like this, it was our local Fox affiliate that ran it.
Fox 9 is our local Fox affiliate, and they actually did a great job of covering the RNC protests. All the other stations in the area were horrible, but Fox 9 actually showed the police brutality and gave the protesters time to make their case. While they have their problems as well they are the best local news we have in the Twin Cities area, so don't think of them as being Fox News as they are only a Fox affiliate and they are not being managed by the same right-wingers that manage the national station.
