700 arrested on suspicion of rioting since start of Gaza op

Some 700 people have been arrested since the start of the Israeli operation in Gaza on suspicion of taking part in violent riots, most of them in northern Israel and in Jerusalem.


About 600 events of demonstrations, riots, protests and stone throwing have been recorded by the police. Some 90 police officers have been injured during these events. (Efrat Weiss)
