Two US soldiers die in Iraq

Two American soldiers have died in non-combat related incidents in Iraq, the US military said in separate statements on Monday.

The first soldier died in the central Iraqi city of Samarra and the second at Al-Assad airbase in the western Anbar province, the statements said, adding that both incidents were on Sunday but giving no further details.

The latest death takes to 4,227 the number of US military personnel who have died in Iraq since the 2003 invasion, according to an AFP tally based on the independent website www.icasualties.org.
