Man: Sorry for threats to immigrant group
Source: Capital Gazette

A Pasadena man convicted of making threatening phone calls to members of an immigrant-rights group made a public apology yesterday. He blamed a mental illness and inflammatory language he said he heard at a local political club.

Wesley James Queen II, joined by family members at CASA of Maryland headquarters, said he stopped taking his medication for bipolar disorder and also attended the meeting before making the calls in May.

"Misrepresentative information from a Republican meeting I attended and not taking my bipolar medication led me to making the phone calls," he said. "I'm working with CASA, and I will be working to make sure this never happens again."

Queen pleaded guilty this month to one count of threatening to explode a destructive device.

3. "Misrepresentative information from a Republican meeting". I hope he realizes that's all he'll ever
get from them.

5. well I'm bipolar, and I don't go around threatening people
this is just a right-wing asshole who refuses to take responsibility for his own actions, and tries to blame his behavior on something else. I'm fed up with people trying to blame rotten behavior on mental illness, and with those who describe evil acts as crazy or evidence of mental illness. The fact is, mentally ill people are less likely to commit crimes, and far more likely to be the victims of crimes.

9. You are right about the likelihood. That's true, by far.
But, there are some people that do go far, far out of their own control. They are not the norm but they do exist and it does happen.

We aren't all the same, we just look that way. lol :)
