Prosecutor ends session with Rove

By NEDRA PICKLER, Associated Press Writer Nedra Pickler, Associated Press Writer – 18 mins ago

WASHINGTON – A special prosecutor has ended her questioning of former White House aide Karl Rove in the investigation of the politically charged firing of U.S. attorneys during the Bush administration.

Prosecutor Nora Dannehy and her deputies left the downtown Washington office of Rove's lawyer shortly after midday, about four hours after they arrived. Dannehy declined to comment when asked about the interview and whether Rove answered her questions.

An internal Justice Department investigation during the Bush administration recommended a criminal inquiry, saying the lack of cooperation by Rove and other senior administration officials left gaps in their findings that should be investigated further.

5. I assume so. This is a criminal investigation and Rove is the likelest targt after Gonzales, if not
the likeliest to be charged with crimes.

6. No he was not under oath
If he were that is called a "deposition". But lying to the feds can still get you charged with obstruction of justice and perjury. Ask Martha Stewart.
It will be interesting to see what comes out of this. This Special Prosecutor has interviewed all of Rove's underlings and a bunch of other people. He appears to be one of the last,, if not the last, interviewee. Thus, any established facts that he was not truthful about today will bite him in the ass. And a fat ass it is.

11. Rats do not sweat.
They regulate their temperature by constricting or expanding blood vessels in their tails.

4. With the way things are going in DC these days, and I include the WH,
I doubt anything of consequence (to Rove and bushco)will happen. I'm sick of the latest goings on with gutless dems and the media. We'll hear what they want us to hear..

7. Rove cooperated and tried to answer the questions? Sure he did.
Republican translation: Say "I do not recall" to any questions which may point to another Republican's guilt. :(
