Taliban militants suspected of planting roadside explosives

KABUL - The U.S. military says four American troops have died in two separate roadside bomb attacks in Afghanistan.

Spokesman Col. Greg Julian says the two strikes happened Monday in different locations but "not too far from each other."

The four Americans were serving in eastern Afghanistan under the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force.

5. US soldiers killed in Afghan blasts
Violence in Afghanistan has left four US soldiers and more than a dozen others dead.

The Americans, members of the 40-nation International Security Force (Isaf), were killed in two roadside bomb attacks in eastern Afghanistan on Monday.

"Four International Security Assistance Force service members were killed as a result of two improvised explosive device (IED) attacks in eastern Afghanistan today," an Isaf statement said.

The statement did not specifically say where the attacks took place but an anonymous Isaf official said that they occurred in Wardak, a province west of Kabul, the capital.

7. No offense
but at what point do we start taking it up with the guy we just elected? I voted for Obama because as an Active Duty soldier I did not want to go to Iraq for a fourth tour. Guess what? My unit got told we are likely going in the Spring, i.e. my fourth tour. I can blame Bush for my three previous miserable trips to Iraq, but if I go in the spring, I can damn sure tell you I won't be blaming chimpy for that trip to the desert.

8. Well my nephew is going back to Iraq-Nam for # 3 and my son to
Afghanistan. It looks like amerika's wars of crusade and religion are going along splendidly (At least for the Corporations making all the necessary tools of war)

</sarcasm>

It also looks like O man's lips are firmly attached to both Joementum and Lindsay Graham's posteriors (He apparently is not about to quit Bush's Crusade)( He can't even close GITMO)

And here I thought Nam (1959-1975) WOULD BE OUR LONGEST WAR

Apparently not by a long shot.
