Pawlenty To Retire

Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R) will not seek a third term in 2010, clearing the way for an expected bid for the 2012 presidential nomination, according to sources close to the governor.

Pawlenty will announce that he is not running later this afternoon in a conference call with reporters.

Much more on this story shortly.

24. I really hate to be put in the position of defending Timmy the Tool
Edited on Tue Jun-02-09 09:31 PM by dflprincess
but state law does not permit a provisional certificate be issued when an election is being contested in the state courts.

And there's palenty of other reasons his career should be over.

2. Good riddance to bad trash.
That asshole killed 13 people when the 35W bridge collapsed, and has killed many others by cutting funding for organizations helping abused women and children and health insurance for the poor.

I hate his rat bastard smarmy, cross-eyed mug. And he doesn't have a chance in hell in 2012. Just bring up the 35W bridge; in fact, incorporate it into his name as a logo.

19. I LOVE that!
Could you send it to the DNC?

Maybe have it crumble at the bottom to symbolize the bridge falling?

You're brilliant.

because now his ambitions are national, not local; he has to please GOP and could care less what people in his state think of him.

14. His Amibitions Have Been National Since This Thing Started
and the Repiggies owe him now, big time. Their strategy is to roadblock everything Obama wants to do,
and then attack him in the elections for not doing anything. For that, they need to keep the filibuster going.

He will never get elected to anything again on his own, but the repiggies will come up with something nice for him if they get back into power.
