Naples lawmaker pushing for toll lanes on I-75 in southwest Florida

Repugs trying increase tax on common folks. Excussss me add a new toll, tolls are not taxes right

Fort Myers-AP) -- The effort continues to get some toll lanes built on Interstate-75 in southwest Florida to ease traffic flow.

About 70,000 drivers travel I-75 between Collier and Lee counties every day. The idea of some additional toll lanes is popular with local politicians and state legislators.

Naples lawmaker Mike Davis (R-Naples_ is taking a bill to the Legislature this week that could be passed by the end of April. Collier and Lee county commissioners have agreed to back the bill that would allow the formation of an eight-member Southwest Florida Expressway Authority
