Ousted Honduran Leader Threatened With Arrest
Source: USA Today

Ousted Honduran President Miguel Zelaya will be arrested and imprisoned if he returns, the country's attorney general says.

Luis Alberto Rubi said at a news conference today in Tegucigalpa that Zelaya, who was deposed Sunday by the military, faces numerous charges that carry sentences "of at least 20 years in prison," The Associated Press reports.

The threat followed Zelaya's announcement that he would return home Thursday with the president of the U.N. General Assembly, the head of the Organization of American States and the presidents of Argentina and Ecuador.

His statement came after he addressed the General Assembly today. He told reporters he wants to finish his four-year term, which ends Jan. 27, and then resume his life as a farmer.

Hmm, the attorney general says he faces numerous charges with long prison sentences. I'm curious to see exactly what those charges are. Insufficient fealty to the ruling class?

Seriously. What crimes has Zelaya committed that would be punishable by anything other than impeachment? I saw some coup defenders accuse him of stealing millions of lempiras in earlier threads, but I don't really know about that.

Told you so.

Some people can be STUBBORNLY ignorant, even when they're repeatedly shown that they're wrong.

I have very little patience for that sort.

4. Isn't the presidential candidate a different person?
The candidate who eventually was reported 'not' killed is Cesar Ham.

The 'ousted Honduran leader' is President Miguel Zelaya.

You can say that again, especially when you're looking in a mirror.
I just checked google news, as of right now, the news sources you consider "credible" still say Cesar Ham is dead.
