Palin confirms she plans to jump into national politics

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said she's not only staying involved in national politics, but she plans to jump back into the national scrum when she leaves office at the end of the month.

The former Republican vice presidential nominee said she plans to write a book, campaign for political candidates from coast to coast -- even Democrats who share her views on limited government, national defense and energy independence -- and build a right-of-center coalition.

"I will go around the country on behalf of candidates who believe in the right things, regardless of their party label or affiliation," she said during an interview published Sunday in The Washington Times.

Republican Women Federated of Simi Valley announced Palin was scheduled to speak to the group's private gala on Aug. 8 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in California. The event -- reporters will not be allowed to attend -- will take place in an airplane hangar that houses a retired presidential aircraft Air Force One and will stir more questions about her curious resignation.

She said, though, that Palin would join the View when Hasselback went on maternity leave. Then Hasselback would be on when Palin next goes on maternity leave. And they'll keep switching back and forth like that for the next several years.

Assuming Scary Saerie gets past the RNC primary, this will be the biggest landslide since Reagan/Mondale.

She's hardly a brand name, her base is performing a slow die-off, and she ain't-a swinging any independents or fence-sitters her way. This weirdling isn't qualified to manage a Burger King, let alone this nation.

Of course, neither was George W Bewsh.

The meaner? part of me wants to see her hauled off to jail for one of the many ethics violations but the less mean? part of me wants to see her on the stage with President Obama.

President Obama already has the 2012 election sewn up, but it would be icing on the cake to hand the Republicans a humiliating defeat courtesy of their favorite blow up doll

Palin will put us in the position we are supposed to be in. We will have Progressive / Liberal majorities and the Executive Branch for the next 30 years. Conservative will only be found in the dictionary

Good old Partial Term Palin will move on from aborting her governorship to aborting her entire party.

She will go around the country on behalf of her belief in the right thing - in her case that would be money. She wants as much as possible and you will see her take it in even the pettiest amounts.

The Republicans will welcome her if only because they can never admit that they were ever wrong about a damn thing.

had stayed on as Governor of Alaska, her ineptitude and corruption would have probably landed her in jail--or caused her to be impeached. Now she can milk any negative press that comes her way as more of the evil librul media pummeling her mercilessly. And rest assured that she will.

Right away, she's gonna make millions off a book deal--now there's a trove of irony in that, eh? for a few days, i was worried that Palin would clinch moral advantage by disappearing from the scene for a couple of years and turn up fresh in 2011 ... that way, she can claim that her family needed her the most & she 'sacrificed' her position to aid her family ...

After writing her book and hosting her show, she'd ride the wave of populism right into the WH. Then things in this country could really get stupid.
