Missing ship 'found' off Africa

A missing ship with 15 Russian crew members on board has been spotted more than two weeks after it disappeared, unconfirmed reports say.

The Arctic Sea had last been sighted in the Bay of Biscay on 30 July.

A coastguard source told AFP news agency it had now been seen some 400 nautical miles from the Cape Verde islands, off West Africa.

Russian navy ships have been searching for the 4,000-tonne Maltese-flagged vessel, which had been carrying timber.

There are articles about this ship being captured by pirates and the crew being tied up while armed men searched the boat. After the armed men left, the ship sailed on and was spotted on route a day later, then it disappeared.

A very strange tale.

They didn't say anything about seeing the crew on-board.

Pretty incomplete clip. Were they taken by pirates? Are they just another bunch of drunken sailors who drifted off course to recuperate? I don't get it.

Coincidence I'm sure.
