Telegraph.UKPakistan has unveiled plans to bring democracy and the rule of law to its Taliban-dominated tribal areas along its border with Afghanistan.
The reforms, announced on Indpedence Day, will allow political parties to contest elections, establish new courts and sweep away the powers of political agents established after the region was annexed by the British Raj in 1848.
