(Hurricane) Bill set to strengthen, turn northward
Source: CNN

Hurricane Bill pushed westward early Tuesday with winds at 105 mph and the potential for developing into a major hurricane.

The National Hurricane Center expects Bill to continue to strengthen and turn more to the north over the next 48 hours. Various weather models showed the storm missing both the West Indies and Bermuda as it heads nearer to the upper U.S. East Coast, CNN meteorologists said Tuesday.

3. It's now a major hurricane
This is from the 11pm advisory:

"Reports from a NOAA hurricane hunter plane indicate that the maximum
sustained winds have increased to near 125 mph...205 km/hr...with
higher gusts. Bill is a category three hurricane on the Saffir
-Simpson scale. Some additional strengthening is possible during
the next 24 hours."
