Guantánamo, Aug. 20 (CMKS) .- The United States protection to terrorist Luis Posada Carriles, confessing author of the mid-flight sabotage of a Cubana aircraft, is denounced by the Tin Tuc Vietnamese daily.

In the article "The reality of the terrorist tolerated by United States", the newspaper outlined the trajectory of the performer of several crimes, including those of the 73 crew and passengers of that plane in 1976, reported Prensa Latina.

The newspaper reported that in the early 50s Posada Carriles came from Cienfuegos to Havana and became a member of the police and other repressive bodies of the Fulgencio Batista´s dictatorship.

He explains how in his conspiratorial activity he contacted agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and joined the so-called Operation 40, orchestrated by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to carry out the failed Bay of Pigs invasion in 1961.

The paper also referred to the role assigned by the CIA as a security adviser for law enforcement in Guatemala, El Salvador, Chile, Argentina and Venezuela, and also authored numerous attacks against Cuban representatives in different countries.

It comments that despite his crimes for nearly half a century are obvious and undeniable, he lives free in United States, and the reason for not taking him to court is the fear of revealing the secrets of FBI or CIA.

The media has NO credibility on airplane bommbings since they LOVE this terrorist. They should just shut up and spare us the sickening double standard.

Luis Clemente Faustino Posada Carriles (born February 15, 1928) (nicknamed Bambi by some Cuban exiles)<1> is a Cuban-born Venezuelan anti-Castro terrorist.<2> A former CIA operative, Posada has been convicted in absentia of involvement in various terrorist attacks and plots in the Western hemisphere, including involvement in the 1976 bombing of a Cuban airliner that killed seventy-three people<3><4> and has admitted to his involvement in other terrorist plots including a string of bombings in 1997 targeting fashionable Cuban hotels and nightspots.<5><6><7> In addition, he was jailed under accusations related to an assassination attempt on Fidel Castro in Panama in 2000, although he was later pardoned by Panamanian President Mireya Moscoso in the final days of her term.<8><9>

In 2005, Posada was held by U.S. authorities in Texas on the charge of illegal presence on national territory before the charges were dismissed on May 8, 2007. His release on bail on April 19, 2007 had elicited angry reactions from the Cuban and Venezuelan governments.<10> The U.S. Justice Department had urged the court to keep him in jail because he was "an admitted mastermind of terrorist plots and attacks", a flight risk and a danger to the community.<7>

On September 28, 2005 a U.S. immigration judge ruled that Posada cannot be deported, finding that he faces the threat of torture in Venezuela.<11>

1. Luis Posada Carriles is a Big Friend of Bush Family
Not only have they harbored a man convicted of killing 78 passengers and crew aboard a Cuban jet airliner, they've helped him remain free after his escape from a Venezuelan prison. Here's the story:
