Jasmine Fiore identified by (serial number on) breast implants

Jenkins apparently did not want Fiore’s body to be identified because he pulled all her teeth out, cut her fingers off, as well of removing all identifiable markings. However, Jenkins did not cover all his bases. Fiore’s body was identified by the serial number on her breast implants. Law enforcement say that Jenkins most likely acted alone and is probably out of the country at this point. He is a native of Canada and the U.S. Marshals are offering a $25,000 reward for leads to leading to his capture.

There is something about this that shocks and disgusts me above and beyond the usual shock of heinous crimes that have become all too frequent.

I feel so badly for this poor woman and her family.

6. Well, at least they know
exactly who they're looking for. Even his friends (if he has any) would probably be compelled to turn him in. I can only hope they find him in the very near future and bring some kind of justice for this woman and her family. It is so horribly sad and sickening. How does a family ever recover from an act of this kind?

18. The dude wasn't really too good at calculations after all, like they know he did it.
Put her a suitcase and tossed it in the trashcan, that's like an direct invitation for just about any dumpster diver.

If he didn't want to get caught or wasn't so just plain lazy he would of made that nice long drive to the middle of nowhere and dug a hole.

The whole nasty ugly crime just goes on to prove that most people who think murder is the answer are really not big thinkers at any rate :shrug:

7. I heard it first on the news (CBS)
But it does seem to be the kind of information that would have been best kept private. It was one of my first thoughts. Nothing like offering these monsters tips.

21. it seems common sense to me
not that murderers are often using common sense at all times.

these are highly regulated products. of COURSE they have serial #'s. also, if you get implants, they give you the documentation to include the serial #'s.

It's like Newsweek a couple decades ago had this BIG SPREAD front page article on all the SECRET US military installations!!!

20. anybody who has had a breast implant knows this
they give you documentation, including the serial # of the implants used.

it's common sense that anything with a serial # can be traced.

22. This isn't the first case of body ID by this, or similar means
It's a common method used after a disaster to attempt to ID decomposed/burned, etc., bodies.

After Katrina it was all over the news how they were using this as a method to ID bodies they found.

29. they used this method on HBO's show Autopsy
All that was left of the female was the implants and spinal cord and a few bits of other tissue. They first thought the implants were just plastic bags. This was several years ago.
