Source: Voice of Iraq

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Two U.S. soldiers were killed by a roadside bomb early Friday in eastern Baghdad, according to a U.S. army statement.

“Two 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) Soldiers died of wounds suffered following an improvised explosive device in eastern Baghdad Aug. 28 at approximately 2:30 a.m,” said the statement received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

“The incident is currently under investigation,” the statement noted.
Seven U.S. soldiers were killed in August 2009.
The death brings the number of U.S. soldiers who have been killed in Iraq since the U.S.-led invasion in March 2003 to 4,336, including 116 killed in 2009.
