GOP hints Dems would deny Republicans health care
(AP) – 55 minutes ago

WASHINGTON — The national Republican Party has mailed a fundraising appeal suggesting Democrats might use an overhaul of the health care system to deny medical treatment to Republicans.

A questionnaire accompanying the appeal says the government could check voting registration records, "prompting fears that GOP voters might be discriminated against for medical treatment in a Democrat-imposed health care rationing system."

It asks, "Does this possibility concern you?"

Katie Wright, a spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee, said the question was "inartfully worded."

'Inartfully worded...'

I've never heard that particular colorful euphemism for FUCKING LIES!

I don't even give a rat's ass if Godwin's Law is invoked, but I'm making the observation that Goebbels would have been proud.

3. There are far better means to use to discriminate than simple voter registration cards. . .
Social Network Data Mining will be far more effective, with the added bonus of weeding out those undesirables who aren't registered to vote, or who attempt to hide their unworthiness in a cloak of Democratic Party "respectability."

Really, the paranoids need to broaden the base of their fear, enter the 21st Century and recognize the tremendous value BushCo provided us by initiating all the various spy programs they pushed so fervently for the past eight years. "Check voter registration cards." Indeed. Like we'll limit ourselves to such superficial methods when far more productive, arcane systems are ready at our fingertips.

Fear for your freedom, Republicans? Curse Bush/Cheney for showing us the way to steal it.

(Sarcasm smiley omitted because the potential for abuse on the level BushCo established unfortunately remains.)

8. Funny how so many of the Republican faithful....
.... are already hard at work trying to deny themselves - and everybody else - healthcare.

GOP = the Corporate Death Panel.

9. I sure as fuck would! Let em pray to whatever twisted up version
of Jesus they pretend to believe in for their healthcare and then let em choke on their bootstraps.

10. Translation: Republicans will deny Democrats access to healthcare if they get back into power
Edited on Fri Aug-28-09 05:24 PM by Johnboi70
I hope the Dems are aware of this. The Republicants already steer Federal dollars away from blue states when they get in power, imagine what they would do with healthcare if we don't put in proper safeguards!

12. At this point, I say why the hell not? We should refuse medical care to any douchebag that thinks
that Universal Health Care is a bad thing.

Fuck these assholes. If they want to play the pity-party martyr then I say we give them the martyrdom they're so hungry to have.

Let's see what these assholes have to say when their doctor diagnoses them with testicular cancer but, because they have no insurance, there's nothing their fucking doctor can do for them.

I'd fucking welcome these motherfuckers to have to go through what others are going through right this very second.

17. Well, then it wouldn't be "universal," then, would it?
I though that the beauty of the public option was that it allowed you to choose WHOEVER THE FUCK you wanted for your health care provider - be it a government institution, a private insurer, etc.

21. I guess because they denied
Democrats the right to vote through scrub lists, perhaps they fear reprisal. Or maybe it's because it's what what they would do given the opportunity.

23. Sure. Just like Democrats deny Republicans voting rights, disability rights, Medicare, Social
Security, student loans, etc.

PLEASE. All DUers who keep talking about "the Republicans are going to say bad things about Democrats if we do X, Y or Z," learn this lesson.

The Republicans are always going to say bad things about Democrats, no matter what we do or don't do. Don't EVER even think about leting that guide your behavior. NOT EVER.
