1. China likes Cuba's existence as our local foil.
Whatever distracts us from the fact that China is taking over the world makes them happy.

4. "taking over the world??" wow...
China's economy is much smaller than the US's, even though it's population is much larger. It has no foreign military bases. I have no idea how it's "taking over the world." Perhaps the absolute hegemony of the US is being challenged, however.

9. Yeah. Cuba has oil reserves of about, what, 5 or 6 days of US consumption?
Not that it isn't worth it to the oil conglomerates to use US taxpayer resources to kill Cubans to get at it, there's just not a lot there.

6. Well, Mr Obama did change position at the very moment he came to Miami while campaigning..
I was soundly excoriated for posting vids of the flip flop in his long time anti embargo position only when he spoke to the terrorist supporting CANF in Miami (with Orlando Bosch in attendance).

He changed his position to no change during the campaign.

But Americans don't vote for prez based on change of Cuba policy. They voted for Mr Obama to get us out of these wars. Jobs, and some kind of national health care upgrade.
