US stops Honduran leader's visa
Source: BBC News

The Honduran interim President, Roberto Micheletti, says the US has revoked his diplomatic and tourist visas.

Mr Micheletti, who came to power in June through a military coup, said the move was a "sign of the pressure the US government was exerting" on Honduras.

The US has condemned the coup and demanded the return to power of the deposed president, Manuel Zelaya.

Mr Micheletti said he was not pleased that the US Consulate addressed him as president of Congress - his prior role.

1. Oh, effing SNAP! I view a move like that as a pretty big deal.
I'm glad the administration is continuing to follow through on rejecting this fucking scumbag.

4. Visa cancellations are not limited to Micheletti but are much more widespread

and it could involve the entire golpista government and its top supporters.

His foreign minister, all 15 members of the Supreme Court, the attorney general, national lawmakers who support the golpistas, members of the oligarchy, top business people, military officers, and pro-coup journalists are among those who have had their visas revoked.
-----------------------
The information minister of the interim government, René Zepeda, on Saturday told the AP that "we expect that the visas of at least 1,000 other public functionaries will be withdrawn in the next few days by the United States ... we had already foreseen that.")

I could think of some better things to address him as, but that wouldn't be very diplomatic
