A self-described white supremacist is behind bars in Montgomery County, Pa. on a $1-million cash bail after he was accused of threatening to shoot up Springfield Township. Police say he had the arsenal to do it.

District attorney Risa Ferman says there were pictures of Gallagher holding AK-47 and AR-15 rifles:

"He was threatening to shoot up Springfield, to just really cause massive destruction to the local community, and he had significant firepower.”

A search warrant executed at Gallagher’s Wyndmoor Avenue home turned up guns, ammunition, and White Supremacist memorabilia including a flag that said “White Pride, World Wide.”

This township is literally on the border of Philadelphia and it is in a county where a youth from a neighboring township (Plymouth I believe) had been caught with a similar arsenal (supplied by his mother) last year.

There was a song by the group Whodini 25 years ago called "The Freaks Come Out at Night". Well here it is in 2009 and the freaks are now out during the day, wandering the streets like mindless zombies, causing havoc, and fueled by hate radio.

Dennis Kucinich delivered a speech called "Wake Up America" last year. It really IS time for America to WAKE UP!

Internet threats should be taken as seriously as mail or phone threats.

This kid was in his early 20s - young, free, and unencumbered by a society that enforces (reasonable) manners and keeps the hate talk down.

Here in the UK we have had similar issues with Feral behavior amongst our youth and the police have now started to issue ASBO'S to the youthes and to the parents of those youths with stiff fines and penalties for those who do not abide by the laws, I am all for the youth of today enjoying life and finding themselves - BUT not at the expense of others particularly when it is deemed as an active of courage or honour to frighten and provoke decent law abiding citizens... The buck has to stop somewhere and I firmly believe it should stop at the parents door..

Respect for thy neighbor has well an truly diminished over this past few years or so and its of my opinion that this needs to be resolved and brought back into line...

This grave threat to the country is only mushrooming, when these whipped-up right-wing lunatics grab their guns and start organizing. They are already bringing their guns to political rallies, including those at speeches given by the president.


But, people like Claire McCaskill and our own president go out of their way to dismiss the significance these dangers.

I would not have thought that would be Montco. I'm in Delco yet I have Montco directly north of me (Norristown, Conshy) and directly south of me (Springfield, Wyndmoor). Weird.
