Former Cleveland law director Subodh Chandra sues challenger of Barack Obama birth site
Source: Cleveland Plain Dealer

Add a Cleveland voice to the legal wrangling over President Barack Obama's birth.

Former Cleveland Law Director Subodh Chandra waded in Thursday, Sept. 17, with a complaint to the State Bar of California that focused more on the leading challenger of Obama's U.S. citizenship than on the issue itself.

Chandra asked the bar to investigate Orly Taitz, a California lawyer pressing cases centering on Obama's citizenship across the country, for making disparaging remarks about a federal judge and for wasting the court's time with frivolous cases.

Taitz is an outspoken member of the so-called "birther" movement that claims Obama was not born in the United States and is ineligible to be President.

4. Tell me about it...
I have lived here most of my life and am amazed at the ignorance shown by some some of my fellow Clevelanders.

5. I lived in Cleveland all my life, until I move to Florida 7 years ago.
Those commentators are not representative of the hard working and depressed people of Cleveland.

It's always the same bunch of moran freepers, living in mommy's basement, masturbating to Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck. Half of them can't spell, or string together a coherent sentence.

If Connie Shultz, Sherrod Brown's wife, writes an article about a sunny day, she gets wrung through the wringer and denounced as a socialist, sleeping with Obama, while plotting revolution.

The Plain Dealer is hard up for revenues, to keep their comments section. These idiots give the town a bad name.

6. So true!
The Cleveland.com comments sections are full of idiots. I don't think they have anything better to do than post comments about B. Hussein Osama/Barry Soetoro and how terrible he is.

I am proud to see a Clevelander launch a salvo against Orly Taitz! Says something for the smart people of this city.

8. Yeah.
I had to register and post a comment in response to one of the silliest. People just seem to make shit up and then think if they say it enough it will become fact. I'll probably get hate mail now.

11. think if they say it enough it will become fact.
Facts are not part of their world.

Remember this guy on Rachel Maddow?

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26315908/#32886436

go to about 6:16 and you will hear Frank Schaeffer explain what we in the real world don't get: There is a whole subculture bred and taught from birth to reject facts as a matter of faith. He used to be in it and he knows from whence he speaketh.

It's scary and pitiful at the same time.

10. its a "complaint", not a "suit". The CA State Bar is a regulatory body.
the complaint has merit IF Orly Taitz is fined $10,000
by the court in two weeks.

but if that is so, the complaint is unnecessary since the fine
must be reported by Taitz herself, and since the case is notorious
(Orly Taitz herself made it so) she better report it or it will
be noticed.

further, the judge himself sets out the case for discipline.
no other is needed. the complaint adds nothing.

so the complaint is premature and, even if not, unnecessary.
basically, a political / publicity stunt, it seems.

not that I'm unsympathetic. orly taitz is using those tactics,
so i see nothing wrong with using them against her.

12. Any of us can file a complaint with a state's bar regarding conduct of a lawyer
So those DUers living in states where Orly Taitz has filed her frivolous lawsuits, can file a complaint with the state's bar association. The ABA website has info on unethical conduct by lawyers.

That Taitz woman/man/it/whatever sounds like a shyster. She needs to show us us HER/HIS/ITS birth certificate and ALL of the so-called college degrees (one claim to be on-line).
