Last three Guantanamo men (returned to UK) freed
The three remaining former Guantanamo Bay detainees being held in police custody have been released without charge, it has been confirmed.
Shafiq Rasul, 26, Ruhal Ahmed, 23 and Asif Iqbal, 22, all of Tipton, West Midlands, were freed on Wednesday night - a day after returning from Cuba.

Tarek Dergoul, 26, from east London, had been released by Anti-Terrorist Branch police earlier on Wednesday.

A fifth man, Jamal Udeen, was released without charge on Tuesday night.
...
Mr Dergoul's publicist, Max Clifford, told BBC News: "His immediate plans are to spend time with his family and then we will take it from there."

Kachhhing!!! Max Clifford is an infamous publicist in the UK - where he is, stories sold to the papers for lots of money are sure to follow. Which paper would pay most to embarrass Blair? A bit tricky - normally the Daily Mail would, but they were in favour of invading Iraq and Afghanistan. Still, they did side with the BBC in the Hutton inquiry against Blair, so my money is on them.

3. Gitmo
The US's continued holding of these people in Gitmo is a disgrace.

ABC did a story last night on one man who was released and is now back home in Afghanistan. His story is sure to inflame the people there and discredit the US name forever.

4. Gitmo will be a pain in the USA's butt until they close it
.
.
.

The world is much more aware of what goes on there now, the Internet has made certain of that

and once those people get OUT of Gitmo, you can bet that some of the World Organizations that have criticized Gitmo and the US for it's existence will be all over these released people to help them to sue for compensation . .

The US is having a hard time justifying this out-of-country prison methinks . .

And I watched Rummy's disgusting comments that "well, we interrogated them for a couple of years, and they don't have anything more that they can tell us so we let them go" -

right

- like "interrogating" people for a COUPLE OF YEARS is OK ?

gimme a break

if a country tried this with US citizens they would get bombed offa the map . .

5. Most of them, I think
Gitmo is our national disgrace. We all should be ashamed for letting it go on this long.
