I just got a phone call, letting me know that he died about 40 minutes ago!

I took the call as part of my job. I work for a travel insurance company, and they were looking to file for cancellation because he was their employer.

Are you really positive?
He took over for O'Bannon, who died earlier this year. To lose two governors in a single year in this manner would just be too bizarre. He was facing a likely showdown with Mitch Daniels, who played a key role in the Bush administration.

they broke into shows to give updates on Gov O'Bannon. If there was news out there - it would be breaking into the shows to tell it - unless the news folks haven't been told.

there is NOTHING anywhere about this - and it would be awful if by some kind of mistake (think of the old "OPERATOR" telephone game) ended up creating a news story if there isn't one. Let's wait for verification one way or the other.
