March 15, 2004: 8:21 AM EST

NEW YORK (Reuters) - A unit of General Electric Co. has agreed to buy InVision Technologies Inc. for about $50 a share to boost its offerings in explosive detection systems and security technology, the companies said Monday.

This is just great (NOT).

So now GE can use it's broadcast media properties to fan the flames of terrorism and make a an even larger profit while doing so.

2. I misread that
For a momen there I thought the headline said "GE to buy Invasion." That would be one way out of Iraq--sell it to GE.
