NYPD launches probe of NYPD commander accused in 'Twilight' sexual harassment case

The NYPD has launched an internal probe into the creepy conduct of a top commander accused of sexually harassing a female detective.

Investigators from the department's Office of Equal Employment Opportunity will interview Detective Dawn DelValle-Sanchez this week about her allegations that Deputy Chief Michael Gabriel created a hostile work environment. Gabriel allegedly gave her unwanted massages and sent text messages in which he referred to her and himself as Bella and Jacob, a couple from the teen vampire series "Twilight."

DelValle-Sanchez, 34, did not notify the equal opportunity office or the Internal Affairs Bureau about Gabriel's behavior out of fear of retaliation, but she will cooperate in the investigation, said her lawyer Eric Sanders of the Jeffrey Goldberg law firm in Lake Success, L.I.
