Despite `real threat' of terrorism, Bush confident in airline security
WASHINGTON - (KRT) - President Bush said Wednesday that Americans face a "real threat" of more terrorist attacks this summer, but he expressed confidence that new security measures would thwart any new airplane hijackers.

He offered the assessment at a wide-ranging White House news conference four days after the federal government warned airlines to tighten their guard against terrorist hijackings. The Department of Homeland Security told aviation-security specialists that al- Qaida terrorists might be planning missions similar to the Sept. 11 attacks.

"The threat is a real threat. … We don't know when, where, what," Bush said. "I am confident we will thwart the attempts."

1. Who made the initial decision to take the Marshalls off the planes?

Evidently the Marshalls are back on the planes due to a WH reversal:

We need to find out how the original order came to be given in the first place. This is a screw-up of the first order. These guys can't walk a straight line.
