Storms leave 10 dead in Miss., Tenn.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Seven people were killed in Tennessee and three in Mississippi by a line of storms that brought heavy flooding and possible tornados to the region over the weekend.

The rain and storms continued Sunday. Some areas of Tennessee had already received more than a foot of rain, a broad area of the state was expected to get 10 inches and radar indicated an area west of Nashville could be deluged by as much as 21 inches, The Weather Channel reported.

The forecast called for more rain through the day Sunday, which could stymie rescuers trying to reach all of the far-flung areas that have been affected.

"This thing is not going to be over this weekend by any means," TEMA's Browning said.

2. Some tornadoes touched down in Mississippi
just about a week ago. I don't remember how many were killed, but there was a significant loss of property. I'm worried about the hurricane season this year. Will the storms come in and scatter that oil everywhere?

3. Record rain here in Nashville
Bigass floods. Metro busses not running tomorrow, schools are closed. I'm building an ark, but need an ark welder for the seams.
